The Requirement
A SaaS startup needed a partner to help design and build it's cloud platform to anonymously gather and aggregate employee feedback.
The Solution
We partnered Thymometrics to build a .NET based web application hosted on Microsoft Azure Cloud for performance and scalability. The solution uses responsive web design so can be used on any device, includes custom analytics and integrates with Microsoft Active Directory to enable sign-sign-on. Behind the web application is Azure SQL Server database providing the power to crunch large amounts of data in real time. The platform incorporates AI/Machine Learning for sentiment extraction and Word Cloud generation.
The Results
The Thymometrics platform is widely adopted by clients in the UK and USA, with end users around the globe. We continue to partner with Thymometrics to extend the functionality and support the platform.
Opthalmic Lenses Website and Order Processing
The Requirement
Optik Mizen manufacture opthalmic lenses for independent optician practices in the UK and across Europe. They needed an online order processing solution for their clients, backed up with full supply chain, order processing, stock management, billing and CRM. The complexity of opthalmic lenses means product configuration options data runs into millions of rows of data.
The Solution
The solution leverages Microsoft SQL Server database to provide the power necessary, whilst the web site with online order and the back-office solution are built using Microsoft's ASP.NET technology stack.
The Results
Optik Mizen have been able to establish a successful business by delivering unique services to their optician clients.
Online editor for a musicians Teleprompter
The Requirement
Stageprompter is a unique teleprompter built for musicians that enables the cycling through of images captured on a USB that show lyrics, chords and other song information. The preparation of the images for the units was manual and tedious.
The Solution
We proposed and build a Web Application deployed to the cloud that would enable customers to log in and create their images using simple editors and then export the data in the correct image formats for use with their physical devices. The system is simple to use, and provides flexibility to import and export data, and caters for a variety of different Stageprompter devices and configurations.
The Results
The Stageprompter is now widely adopted globally including many well known artists and super groups. The solution is used to support some of the largest musical events and has now extended to include a US operation to cope with the increased demand in the American market.
Web API Development
Back-end for Mobile Phone App
The Requirement
The Boffin Lab needed help to build a prototype mobile application for a leading insurance brand. They needed an API and supporting database to support the mobile application which is aimed at supporting carers.
The Solution
We worked with the Boffin Lab on design and then built an API hosted on Microsoft's Azure Cloud, fronting an Azure SQL Database and providing integration with Twilio's SMS and chat platforms. The solution enables creation of new accounts and users, multiple chats across a secure communication with the mobile apps. The platform supports both Android and iOS clients.
The Results
The solution was built in a short time frame and was successfully delivered to the clients media agency.
Databases
Data Warehouse and Reporting
The Requirement
Following the successful implementation of a full supply chain and order processing solution for Jai Kudo, the finance team were seeking better ways to understand the data that was now being captured. The system recorded all costs as well as sales so was in theory capable of producing margin analysis at fine detail as well as aggregated views.
The Solution
We designed and built a data warehouse with an OLAP cube using Microsoft Analytical Services, fronted with Microsoft's Reporting Services and Power BI. The cube itself captures costs at an individual order item level and enabled dicing and slicing by customer, operator, product, country and currency.
The Results
The system enabled dashboards for easy KPI tracking and provided some startling insights into where profits and losses were being made. This in turn drove new strategies to eliminate losses and improve profit margins.
Cloud Migration
Order Processing for Mobile Workforce
The Requirement
In order to facilitate a deal with Eezi (part of the Flash Group), RP Europe needed to create a mobile order processing and stock solution in a tight timescale. The existing solution was on-premise only.
The Solution
We proposed migrating the on-premise solution to Microsoft's Azure Cloud against an aggressive timeline. We redesigned the security implementation to support cloud operations, updated the reporting to be compliant with the new platform and customised various features to support Eezi's requirements. The work used Microsoft .NET on SQL Server and was deployed to Microsoft Azure Cloud
The Results
The system was launched on time and within budget and was successfully handed over to the Eezi team.
On-premise Software
SIM Stock and Order Processing Engine
The Requirement
RP Europe are a leading SIM card distributor who need to track SIM topups via datafeeds provided by mobile networks in order to calculate and pay commissions to their distribution network. The business was using a basic database and Excel spreadsheets to launch but it quickly grew to be unmanageable.
The Solution
We built a custom engine using Microsoft technology on top of SQL Server database and incorporated Analysis Services to automate the complex reporting requirements. Data import and processing was encapsulated with Stored Procedures to provide rapid processing, and integration with their accounting system synched invoicing and credit notes.
The Results
RP Europe have been able to scale up their business and have even gone on to sell the software as a solution to some of their larger customers.

Finance Systems Integration
The Requirement
Based on growth the process of exporting and importing invoices and credit notes was becoming tedious, plus the visibility of real-time client balances was essential so that lines of credit could be controlled.
The Solution
Having explored the API options available for their accounting system we were able to create new API endpoints within their application and couple these together with Logic Apps running in Microsoft Azure Cloud to provide periodic and fully automated synchronisation. The solution includes monitoring and alerting so that staff are confident the process continues to run error free.
The Results
The process has completely eliminated manual processing requirements, provides a faster synchronisation than was previously possible and through advanced monitoring gives peace of mind.
